In the summer of 2003 in Mammoth Lakes, California, a tight group of industry veterans and professional athletes began to conceptualize a culturally diverse snow and skate project. Reminiscing on the couch one summer day, one of the athletes said, "This company reminds me of the Ninthward," a hard-core street project in New Orleans, Louisiana.
