The Line Sir Francis Bacon ski was redesigned for 2012 to be a leaner and meaner. Eric Pollard re-shaped the Bacon Ski to have an almost symmetrical sidecust, 140-108-136mm, and lost 7mm of thickness in the waist. Pollard dreamed up the new desing to add quickness and versatility to the Line Bacon and the results turned out sick! The signature Line Skis Mellow Early Rise and Early Taper Tip & Tail give the Line Sir Francis Bacon a predictable ride in any type of snow conditions and speed. The Bacon Ski also has a Thin Tip engineered into the ski that amplifies every sensation you feel while ripping, by taking about 50 grams out of the tip and tail for reduced swing weight to also increase the quick responsiveness of the Sir Francis Bacon. You might think with all these performance features the Sir Francis Bacon is a traditional directional ski, but there is no way that Eric Pollard would design a ski that was limited in possibilities. So to make the Bacon ultra playful, Pollard designed a symmetrical flex and G-Cut Geometry to keep the tips floaty and the ski slashable, and still be able to ride switch. Best of all, the Bacon is a speed machine, designed to charge into backcountry booters, thanks to the addition of a Sintered race-inspired base.
