Armada El Rey Skis 2012 - The El Rey returns as one of the most versatile skis for teen and intermediate park riders today. With a Cap construction the El Rey is a light, responsive, and quick turning ski perfect for the first time park rider and thanks to it's slightly wider platform, mid 80mm waists, is a great choice for all mountain use and softer park conditions. To keep things simple Armada uses the Fleet Core and Positive Camber on the El Rey. This combination provides smooth and predictable pop for easy turning and good energy of ollieing or hitting jumps and great edge hold to keep everything under control for setting spins or shredding all mountain. Knowing park skis take huge amounts of abuse the El Rey gets the beefed up 2.5 Impact Edge, which under goes a hardening process to strengthen it and is double the size of standard edges for resistance to cracking and pull out from rails, boxes, or whatever else you end up jibbing. For additional durability the S7 base is super tough for gouge prevention but gets an additive so it holds wax and glides much better than other similar bases.
