The K2 Amp Impact Ski is a versatile ski and is intended for the advance skier with a very attractive price tag. The All-Terrain RockerTM is designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip and tail for variable and soft snow performance conditions. With the camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer snow conditions. K2 Then does a Progressive Side-cut for a combination of two different radii that enhance the versatility of wider-waist skis guaranteeing improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance. With the Fir and Aspen Core these are solid and dense woods known for their inherent strength and durability. A Triaxial Braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide some much needed added control, making the ski more energetic and responsive. A Carbon Web surrounds the Mod structure with carbon weaves. The carbon strands are laid at precise angles for additional levels of torsional rigidity, keeping the ski light, with additional strength. Then give it some Mod Technology gives you a high-performance suspension system that absorbs vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge hold, power, and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, leaving the overall ski flex unaffected. Finally a Mod Monic giving you a mass-dampener made of solid zinc mass that focuses mass dampening at a targeted location on the Mod structure. For the price you get the most bang for your buck!!!
